The January/February issue of Architecture Today features this year’s Test of Time Award winners.
My role is to organise the photography of all the winning projects in December and January. Naturally, everyone hopes their project will be captured in the best possible weather — but the photography, by Timothy Soar, took place during a couple of the wettest months on record!
The weather conditions were not always ideal, the deadlines were tight, locations spread far apart, but I was impressed by the teams on the projects, who went out of their way to support the process. I feel this attitude which filters from the top down is also evident in the architecture. The winning projects in the magazine look exceptional in the pages of Architecture Today and demonstrate exactly why they are deserving recipients of the Test of Time Award.
