A creative photography workshop day, hosted by In Opera Group and led by Timothy Soar. 8 Bishopsgate is a beautiful and sophisticated interior designed by WilkinsonEyre. We were delighted that the project lead, Oliver Tyler from WilkinsonEyre, gave a great introduction to the building and the process for the design, before Timothy outlined the photography brief.
The Workshop was attended by architects and designers, who were creative and insightful on the photographs they took. We then sat through a powerpoint of the images discussing the merits and different aspects that people engaged with before deciding on winning photographs.
First prize was given to Teodor Staicu – Stiff + Trevillion Architects. Teodor’s photograph was a set of reflections, a strong and graphic image, but we also liked that it was a viewpoint no-one else had seen.
The Second and Third prizes were both won by attendees from Barr Gazetas. Completely different images, but both had people in the building. Federica Bonaccorsi won the second prize of a lady seated in reception, harmonising with the space and Neda Soltani’s third prize was of striking, silhouette image of people against the views of London.
