Visiting Cadeby Quarry

I recently had the privilege of visiting Cadeby Quarry, owned by Grants Group and was given a tour by one of their charming directors, Jason Plumstead. This was followed by another insightful tour to their precast factory, where the director Mark Lydon, shared his expertise on the precast process. I am excited to say Grants Group are a new client – it was fascinating to see the process from quarry, to processing, to hoisting facades on lorries, ready for delivery. I also came away with a jar of honey – from Kevin Perree’s (General Manager of Grants Precast Manufacturing) onsite bee hives – win-win!

This impressive quarry near Doncaster, is part of Blockstone Limited and is also the home to Blockstore – a unique facility which stores the stone from all 9 of their UK quarries. This setup allows clients to explore a wide range of stunning limestone and sandstone in one place and even select the exact blocks for their project.
